YIN YANG YOGA
Inspired by gentleness, precision and letting go, this practice draws together different elements of yoga: softness combined with strength, inner balancing outer, stillness flowing into movement. The yin form of yoga is based on holding postures passively for sustained periods of time, encouraging softness and deep internal release. The yang style is much more about dynamic movement that focuses on strength. But within yin there is yang and within yang there is yin – by bringing these elements into harmony we can lead more balanced lives.
This extended session is four hours long, including a period of meditation and a long savasana. This allows space for participants to examine limits and explore potential and, through this process, cultivate awareness and refine attention.
Open to all with a minimum of six months experience of yoga.
The yin/yang
yoga practices (last Saturday of every month) are at Globe House Yoga Studio
(currently located in a beautiful space at the Tanneries: entrance besides 20
Crucifix Lane SE1).
The next two classes are Saturday 29 March and Saturday 26 April: £20 (£10
concessions: unemployed, students, low waged) per class.
